I would like to speak a bit about this Role play sim we all love so much. And as this is my Blog, I figure no one can stop me. *chuckles*
First I have to say that we are all truly privileged to play here. Kora and her team have made us an amazing world to play in and the geek in me jumps with joy at the thought of the all new KOS that is currently under way.
That being said there are things here that drive me absolutely nuts. I imagine not many people will read this, and those that do wont pay it any mind if they do the things listed. But as its my blog I will do it anyway. *sticks his tongue out*
Lack of role play: I don’t believe I have to say much about this. Everyone knows that you can not role play currently without being attacked. If you make the mistake of trying to type out a sentence and your not in a safe zone you will undoubtedly find a scimitar in your back. What’s worse you will receive little to no Rp after being attacked most of the time. This is an ongoing problem and one I devoutly hope will get better with the new combat system coming for the new sim.
Buttons: Ok people the buttons on the tag menus are there to enhance your rp after you capture someone. How hard is it to Rp the situation that puts someone on their knees? Instead standing at the auction is like watching the video for Vogue. Avatars popping from pose to pose with out word one said. This is just sad. If you cant take one minute to rp putting someone on their knees before clicking the button then you don’t deserve to have them kneel.
Rules: I am not sure if people have not read the rules or if they simply chose to ignore even the most simple of them. For example: No Shouting in the sim unless you are seeking help IC, No playing music in-world, No gestures. Are these things really that hard to understand? You my think your just having fun, however consider the other players around you who just might have the fantasy of the Rp ruined by hearing “Thriller” by Michael Jackson while in ancient Arabia.
Its really just about being considerate to the other players around you.

Tim,
I couldn't agree more.
That said I don't know how to enforce the rules. I think the reward system (i.e. the stats) drive part of this behaviour. This is not the case with music and gestures etc. A warning and temporary ban system could help here.
To reduce the load on Kora et al. they could consider to appoint a low number of "wardens" from the player base.
